Mazdutide, also known by the development codes LY3305677 and IBI362, is a synthetic peptide agonist of both the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor and the glucagon receptor. It is structurally related to oxyntomodulin, a gut hormone that naturally activates both receptors. Eli Lilly originated the molecule, and Innovent Biologics has led its clinical development in China.
Dual GLP-1/glucagon agonism is studied as a way to combine two distinct metabolic signals.
